Synopsis

■ Summary:
Nine-year-old Hanada Ichiro is known throughout his village as a prankster and troublemaker. One day, while he is up to no good as usual, he gets hit by a truck. His ghost nearly rises up to heaven, but is sent back to Earth at the last moment as Ichiro's time has not come yet. Although he survives the accident, he soon discovers that he can see ghosts of people who have passed away, and even talk with them.
Naturally, the people around him start thinking he's gone crazy; in a sense, he's hearing voices in his head telling him to do deviant things now. But he finds that the ghosts he talks with have left behind unfinished business that needs to be taken care of before they move on. And so Ichiro, with his newfound ability, is thrust into the role of a mediator between the dead and the living, relaying the thoughts and feelings of the dead to those who are still in this world, and trying to help grant them their last wishes.
